However, Oxabolone is a derivative of Nandrolone, a 19Nor compound. 4-Hydrox binding, like 4-chloro binding in clostebol, changes the steroid's affinity for aromatase and 5-alpha-reductase enzymes. By losing interaction with the aromatase enzyme, oxabolone, unlike its parent nandrolone, cannot convert to estrogen. Therefore, all estrogen-related side effects are non-existent. There is no risk of gyno, no bloating as a result of water retention and so on. As most of you may know, Nandrolone also has progesterone-binding properties, which made its estrogenic side effects worse, but without the presence of estrogen, it is no longer a problem. Its comparable to trenbolone. Trenbolone still possesses the progestogenic activity of Nandrolone, but because it cannot be aromatized it is not a problem. This also means that Oxabolone can be used for cutting purposes, just like Trenbolone. On the other hand, the inhibition of the interaction with 5-alpha-reductase will have a completely different effect than it did with clostebol. Clostebol was a testosterone derivative, and the 4-chloro group inhibited DHT formation in this way. That made clostebol several times less androgenic in nature than testosterone, and made it a much weaker steroid as well. That is not the case with oxabolone. The 4-hydroxyl group inhibits the formation of DHN (dihydronandrolone). But unlike DHT, DHN is an extremely weak androgen.Therefore, by removing it, they are in fact increasing the androgenic potency of Nandrolone, especially in target tissues such as the scalp, skin, and prostate, thus increasing the risk of androgen-related side effects. But it also makes for a much stronger steroid. Nandrolone is a pretty decent androgen to begin with, by inhibiting the reduction of DHN it makes it much stronger and truly comparable in action to the steroid trenbolone. There would be a distinct hardening effect on the body, and it would be a non-aromatizing hormone capable of packing on a noticeable amount of lean mass. What can be said for very few steroids. It would be the perfect lean mass builder. It becomes an ideal cutting steroid, the perfect anticatabolic to retain maximum lean tissue while reducing body fat. But also a lean mass gainer, well suited for packing in small amounts of lean mass while not increasing body fat or water retention like most mass steroids will. In these respects it is understandably best stacked with Equipoise (boldenone undecylenate) or Primobolan Depot (Methenolone Enenate) as a base compound for best results, and all or not with Winstrol (stanazolol), Proviron (Mesterolone), Halotestin (Fluoxymesterone) or Anavar (Oxandrolone). Using 400mg/week Oxabolone along with 300-400mg Primobolan Depot or Equipoise weekly for 8-10 weeks, and perhaps 50mg/day Winstrol or 30-40mg/day Anavar for even better effect. Since it does not aromatize, the use of anti-estrogens is not necessary. Most of the side effects associated with oxabolone would be linked to its extreme androgenic nature. Acne, hair loss and prostate hypertrophy are a risk.
